This is a great way to practise times tables whilst having fun! I’ve made several of these, of different tables, for children I tutor and they love them, especially if they beat me!
You need to print off a base board and set of cards for each game. I have suggested that you use different coloured card for each game as it’s then easier to know which set of cards goes with each base board. (I have one set of “green” cards which I then use with whichever game I am playing; I haven’t printed a new set for each game.)
If you laminate the base board, you can then use dry-wipe pens when playing or you could use counters.
To Play:
Put the 2 sets of cards in separate piles. Player 1 picks up a yellow and a green card and multiples them together. They then find that number on the board and circle it. Player 2 then has their turn in the same way.
The first person to get a straight line of 4 wins!
