This is a series of questions that will guide pupils from thinking only in numbers to thinking algebraically.

The questions are increasingly challenging, finishing with some that require a lot of thought and can be investigated further.

Thanks for sharing. A good set of questions which gradually build up in difficulty.

This is a really nice set of questions. My only reservation is with the "average wait" questions, which don't state how many people are at the bus stop or when they got there in relation to when the bus arrives. Not intuitive for children and takes a fair bit of explaining, in my experience. But it's useful, attractive and does the job. Thank you

Thanks for this, and for including answers! A lovely array of problem types that very gently leads students to think algebraically by hacking into their intuition.
