The Amazing Alphabet

The Amazing Alphabet is part of the Synesthetic Learning approach, a multisensory approach to teaching children with dyslexia. Dyslexic Logic promotes Synesthetic Learning, the idea that learning using all our senses creates a richer memory trace. This means that children are not learning lists of words or lists of spelling patterns, but rather pictures, gestures, stories and rhythms that provide stronger and more appropriate cues for dyslexic brains.
The Amazing Alphabet provides a rich system of gesture and image to help children anchor sounds and letter shapes. It was designed by a dyslexia specialist for early intervention work with children with dyslexia and literacy difficulties.
