
KS3 Assessment in PE policy created to improve assessment / data collection / progress in PE.
Policy is divided into topic areas (striking & fielding / invasion games) so that it can be adapted to use for a range of sports & keeps the assessment policy concise and straightforward.
Grade descriptors for each activity have been created alongside GCSE PE assessment criteria to improve transition from KS3 into KS4.
Each type of activity has a ‘one page’ sheet for each year group (7-9) to simplify the information needed to provide end of activity grading for students.
Assessment divided into 3 areas of learning - Head, Heart, Hands. Which assesses students in practical, social and tactical understanding of the sport they have been working on. (Headings of each column can be adapted to fit different policies as needed E.G - Physical Me)
