This resource covers converting between binary and denary in both directions, why computers use base 2, and how bits and bytes are measured. It goes on to show how text is stored using ASCII and how images are stored as pixels with a given colour depth. Pupils encode their own 8x8 pixel design as binary and swap it with a partner.
