This is a tracker for the BTEC Tech Award in Sport, Activity and Fitness,
Pearson 2018 Specification. The tracker could also be adapted to be used for any of the Tech Award specifications, headings would just need to be updated to reflect the different component titles in your course. This tracker allows in depth tracking of where students are at and what they need to do to achieve their target.

You can track your students throughout the duration of their course, you can enter individual learning aim results which will then contribute to the overall component grade. There is opportunity to track end of topic exams, mock exams, real exams and re-sits. The tracker is complex and will work out overall grades using the UMS points that you enter, it allows you to see what students need to get in remaining components to achieve their target. More details are shown below regarding the functions of the tracker.

**You can enter the following data into the tracker:

Name
Class name
MEG (minimum expected grade) - this can be adapted to your schools target grade depending on how your school brand this.
PE specific target grade
Component 1 and 3 first mark / final grade for each learning aim
Component 2 end of topic exam grades, mock exam grades, exam result RAW, UMS and grade and resit result RAW, UMS and grade.

**Functions of the tracker:

The tracker will work out how many points are required to achieve the MEG or PE target grade, this is then converted to show the grade/s that students need to get in each remaining component as well as the UMS points required. It will also highlight if it is not possible to achieve the students target by displaying an “x” in the end box.

The tracker will work out each individual component grade using the data that you submit for each learning aim within a component.

The tracker will show you the amount of UMS points that a student has accumulated so far.

The tracker will also show you an overall grade and overall UMS points once all data has been submitted. Until all data is submitted it will track a running UMS total and identify how many components are left to complete.

The tracker has two rows of practice data in to show its function, the spreadsheet also has protected cells to show that you do not need to enter data into these columns. There is no password protection on this.

Additional tabs:

There is a homework tracker tab to allow you to track the completion and effort of homework submitted by using a 1-4 scale.

There is also a Exam results breakdown table to show you visually what students need to achieve in remaining components depending on their exam UMS.
