Converting mixed numbers and improper fractions and adding & subtracting KS2 Year 5/Year 6 KS2

I made this after not being able to find anything similar!

This resource contains a detailed flipchart and 3 differentiated worksheets with an activity, challenge and extension on each.

Order of activities:
Starter Activity - learners have to order fractions (with factors of 10 denominators) and decimals
- Then learners are asked what does an improper fraction/mixed number look like? I have attached a link to a funny YouTube video that put my Year 5 class in hysterics (easily amused!).
- The next couple of slides are for visual learners that need to see what different mixed numbers and improper fractions look like - you can ask children to drag segments onto wholes to create fractions and learners need to work out what fraction is displayed.
- Then learners have a go at converting using simple instructions.
- The flipchart ends with learners having a go at adding/subtracting improper fractions and mixed numbers.
