These three activities, differentiated by level, enable children to practise converting between the different units of length. They will be required to multiply and divide decimal (as well as whole) numbers by 10, 100 and 1000. As a warm-up activity for this lesson, we went through some mental calculations involving 10, 100 and 1000. This helped significantly, when the children moved on to their independent work, later on.
