Counting Sea Creatures Activity Pack

A fun, hands-on maths activity for EYFS/KS1 with a Sea theme!
Children count, cut and order sea creature cards from 1–6, then stick them onto a template to show their understanding.
Includes:
• 10 pages of counting cards e.g. penguins, crabs, whales, sharks, lobsters
• Cut-and-stick ordering template
• Ocean colouring sheet to finish

Children practise counting to 6, recognising numerals, matching numbers to quantities, and ordering numbers, helping to build strong foundations in number.

The hands-on elements of cutting, sticking and colouring also develop fine motor skills, hand–eye coordination and pencil control.

Opportunities for discussion encourage the use of mathematical language such as more, less, first, next and last, while the engaging ocean theme supports creativity and expressive arts.
