Attached is a powerpoint going through the relevant content for each topic of Criminal psychology which makes up part of the applied module for the OCR A-level psychology exam.

The topics are:

  1. What makes a criminal?
  2. Collection and processing of forensic evidence.
  3. Collection of evidence.
  4. Psychology and the courtroom.
  5. Crime prevention.
  6. Effects of imprisonment.

The powerpoint goes through:

  • The background including research.
  • The key research in APPFC format with implications of the research.
  • Applications of the area.

There are also various exam questions after every topic including part a, b and c’s.

This would make both a great teaching resource as well as a good revision resource for students.

It is worth noting that topic 2 of criminal is hot as it has never featured on a real paper and is likely to appear on the 2024 paper.
