The following resource is excellent when introducing Business students to crisis management and contingency planning. (Aimed at A-level Business students)
The PowerPoint should be played in presentation mode. With slide one, students are tasked with guessing the real life crisis examples in relation to the 10 images. The specific answer to each image transitions in with each ‘click’ on the keyboard/mouse. Great for generating class discussion and testing commercial awareness of students. The teacher can then question students on how contingency planning could have avoided or minimises the severity of each situation in question. Slide two flips the concept and gets students to consider why a crisis can be good for businesses, and provides some sample answers.
