A Woven ribbon weave cushion project suitable for KS3.
Students will learn basic sewing skills; how to Tack, Thread the sewing machine, label the parts of the sewing machine, how to Reverse Appliqué. They will produce a 16 inch cushion.
They will produce either a plain weave, Twill weave or their own weave Ribbon weave cushion. They will learn the design process and use this to inform their design decisions. This is a lovely project that is easily adapted to different year groups. It can be adapted to a cultural theme aswell.
