This is a lesson where pupils will learn about the structure of DNA, where is is found and what it codes for. The PowerPoint goes through the whole lesson with simplified vocabulary and highlighted key words. It is fully editable if you would like to add anything. A starter is included as well as links for pupils to build a DNA model and to instructions for a DNA Extraction practical. I have included hinge point questions to assess pupils understanding during the class. The teacher/pupil must then choose a differentiated activity that the teacher prepares e.g. book questions, create a Venn diagram.

There is a flipped learning video of the lesson here: https://edpuzzle.com/media/581a49d611b7744c24e2e6ff

Please note this lesson does not include worksheets; only the lesson plan, powerpoint and links to practical activities.
