Lesson begins by showing images of animal smuggling to promote discussion. It then focuses on the difference between national and global scale before setting the task of reading info on REDD and CITES to allow pupils to make flash cards. Information gained is then summarised in a sample answer where pupils will pick out level three content and annotate around the answer. This consolidates the positives and negatives of each global scale conservation method.
Discussion task around source and homework task to consolidate (could be used in lesson or as a starter for the next lesson.
Homework on numerical skills.
