A series of lessons (about 3-6 hours of classroom teaching, 44 slides) with engaging exam-oriented tasks you can easily tailor to suit the needs of your particular group, describing (and focusing on both AO1 and AO2/3):

  1. The Functionalist Perspective,
  2. Neoliberal / the New Right perspective on education
    as well as
  3. The Marxist View.

Extension tasks have been included, this series of lessons should work fine with any major exam board. Plenaries and example questions provided.

Links to 3 short video clips (about 1.5-3 minutes each) included, plus a link to an AQA pdf booklet (the booklet is available for free - you can use it to introduce your learning objectives/see your students’ progress throughout your lessons even if your SoW is not AQA-based), it can be taught with any AS/A-level Sociology textbook.

The material has been recently tested in the classroom and should save you hours of your own preparation time!
