Detailed lessons for all the Eduqas anthology poems.

Each lesson is beautifully presented and detailed with an outcome question based on writer’s intentions and lesson objectives to challenge and aspire.

All lessons have a starter task considering the title (with collaborative learning)

• Pre-loading vocabulary or visual dictionaries
• A context slide relevant to the poem and author
• First read of the poem
• Finding the basics: Who, What, Where, When with collaborative learning embedded and again a stretch and challenge option
• Answers to the above on the next slide as a check point

• Analysis of the poem - with prompts and questions to challenge student thoughts and links back to the aspire: analysis of language
• Some notes below slides for further teacher annotations/guidance
