French, National 5, Directed Writing, The Unpredictables, Bullet Points 5 & 6.

Opens with brief notes on BPs 1-4, before focusing on the ‘unpredictable’ fifth and sixth bullet points.

Model answers (in French) are provided to the fifth and sixth bullet points used in the French/German/Italian/Spanish questions from 2025/24/23/22/19/18/the specimen papers.

Candidates can test themselves (and reinforce their command of the target language) by translating the (40+) model examples and check their translations for themselves with the provided answers.

Candidates are encouraged to check out the SQA’s ‘Understanding Standards’ as well as look at examples of previous candidates’ attempts (and the scores they were awarded) and explore the N5 Course Reports for hints and tips as to what markers are looking for.

Can be used in class or set as homework.

I have not copied and pasted the actual bullet points from the SQA website (for copyright reasons) but candidates using the materials should quickly be able to work out which particular bullet points are being dealt with by toggling between the material and the SQA past papers (at least for 2022-25 inclusive and for the specimen papers, as 2018 and 2019 are no longer available).
