A multiple class-period lesson that requires students to produce a video that describes their understanding of the terms nation, state and nation-state. The assignment is created with flexibility in terms of presentation and technical requirements. These could be adjusted to suit individual teacher needs. The presentation includes a link to the grading rubric used - a modified version of the IB HL Global Political Challenge rubric. Originally used with an IB Year 1 class, the PowerPoint format ensures ease of editing to allow for adaptation to different grade levels and/or curricula.
