IB Global Politics - Non-State Actors and Conflict

A complete lesson in PowerPoint format that begins with a short silent reading exercise. Students are then asked to work in groups to read a series of articles that are linked on the Peace and Conflict page of the website www.ibglobapolitics.org. Students are asked to make a good set of study notes as they read through and discuss the various articles. The teacher then leads a class discussion on the key questions that are found in the presentation. Originally used with an IB Year 1 Global Politics class, the PowerPoint format ensures easy editing if you wish to adapt this presentation to another grade level and/or curriculum.
