Codebreaker challenge for Italian beginners. Only requires knowledge of numbers 1-20, colours and ‘mi chiamo’.

Perfect for an end-of-term activity or MFL lesson exploring other languages!

I taught an ‘intro to Italian’ for half an hour (numbers/colours/greetings), then did this challenge activity.

4 tasks to solve - each task gives a number as the answer.
I put some prizes and laminated ‘stolen goods’ (attached) in a cash box and padlocked it using the 4 numbers as the code. You could get students to submit the 4 digit code to the teacher to ‘unlock’ the prize verbally if you don’t have a cash box/padlock.

Solution on the ppt.
