A great lesson to develop independence learning and for observation lesson.
Learners are to work in small groups of 3 – 5 learners. They are to be given a specific list of materials they can use and specific tools and equipment.
Learners can only ask a member of staff questions relating to health and safety during the manufacturing process.
Learners are to be given a set time period (30 mins) to produce 5 (could be more or less) repeatable handles for a draw or cupboard (Add dimensions for older years).
The aim is to allow learners to develop independence in the workshop and to understand the need to problem solve during the design process.
