A unit of work (13 lessons) based around the text 'Kaspar Prince of Cats' by Michael Morpurgo. Reading and writing focus and a range of fiction and non fiction incidental writing opportunities including diary entries in role, narrative writing an alternative ending, newspaper articles, recounts and researching The Titanic and its voyage. Lessons can be adapted to suit Years 4, 5 and 6.

Thank you for sharing this plan. I tweaked it slightly to meet our needs, but the project wouldn't have been so successful without this to push start us. Pupils loved the book and the activities and so did I.
