What a great television series to show to high-school level math students!
This references the pilot episode of the series entitled Serial Rapist. I have only used the letter R instead of the word in order to avoid any issues the word may cause in the classroom.
Charlie is a mathematician and professor at the local university and his brother, Don, is an FBI agent. One of the other professors at the university, Larry, is a friend and a mentor to Charlie. He uses mathematics/science to help his brother solve cases.
This follow-along worksheet contains 8 questions that the students will be able to answer if they are paying close attention to the presentation. You will have documentation of their attentiveness, and you will also have a foundation for asking follow-up questions and diving into the real math.
