The project involves poly printing a city scape onto a background of the sky that uses materials such as watercolours and tissue paper to create interesting layers and bold colours. The project could also be adapted to use lino blocks instead of polystyrene. I have done this project with Year 8 of a range of abilities however it would also be suitable for younger year groups. The poly print can be differentiated by getting higher ability students to create buildings with perspective that are 3D. Lower ability students can produce more simple 2D buildings. There is a homework resource sheet in the power point as well which asks the students to design their poly print. All the lessons have additional starters and plenaries. As an extension task students can experiment with different materials to create more backgrounds such as using spatula and paint then printing onto them. Hope this is helpful!
