The unit explores the history and changing landscape of LGBT with a focus on Old and New Testament scripture and Hadiths. The unit covers real world issues, including: the history of LGBT, religious experiences, the story of William Dorsey Swann, the Stonewall riots, conversion therapy, Pride parades. The unit addresses how religious followers might apply scripture in their acceptance (or otherwise) of the LGBT community. A key focus is placed on the Golden Rule.
