This engaging mini project includes 2 task/ worksheets, which allow students to practice rounding decimals and multiplying decimals by 10, 100 & 1000 - perfect for developing an understanding of decimals through engaging scenarios.
Task 1: students need to name their own food truck, come up with 3 items to sell, and round their price and weights to different requirements (e.g. nearest whole, nearest tenth).
Task 2: students need to create a logo for their own food truck, come up with 4 ingredients to make a secret sauce, and adjust the ingredients weight to scale the recipe by 10, 100, 1000.
These tasks include 2 challenges to extend students, too.
