SEND symbolised PURIM JUDAISM RE

6 week RE Judaism unit on the topic of Purim. All lessons are differentiated three ways with symbolised worksheets, lesson presentations and extension activities. Lessons are cross curricular and include role play, lifeskills, literacy skills and Art and Design tasks. Lesson coverage as follows;

1. Introduction to Judaism and Purim
2. Acting out the story of Esther using stick puppets made by the class
3. Introduction to mitzvahs and Mishloach Manot - Purim gift baskets. Learning the rules and designing one
4. Creating 2D Purim gift baskets and gifting them appropriately
5. Making Hamantaschen cookies and learning more about the character Haman
6. Holding a Purim parade and costume design.
