Using Instagram accounts to round to significant figures. Guess the celebrity, then round their actual followers to 1,2 and 3 significant figures.
I printed the worksheet and made a game out of them guessing the celebrity to begin with. They then wrote the name and actual number of followers down and had to then round this to 1, 2 and 3 significant figures. Used with Year 8 and lower ability Year 9 students. You can add to the celebrities if you wish.
