Writing Assessment grids on one page for each individual year group!
Everything you need to know when assessing writing. These easy to use grids, incorporate the National Curriculum objectives and are colour coded to indicate individual elements of: transcription (spelling and handwriting), composition (the writing process) and vocabulary, grammar and punctuation skills.
On one side is also the Year group specific statements to identify if pupils are working towards expected standard, working at expected standard or working at greater depth in writing. These sheets are to be used when assessing pupils independent writing and should be used as a guide for each individual pupil.
Evidence should be collected over a range of pieces and this is a great tool for moderation and pupil progress meetings. They can also indicate individual targets or areas for development.
