The purpose of the year 9 Drama scheme is to continue a love for the subject whilst also preparing students for KS4. Lessons aim to help students gain transferrable skills for the future- communication, interaction, empathy, social understanding , self presentation and continuous building of self esteem and confidence. Evaluating and Analysing in greater detail is also introduced. Working to a given genre or style is also at the forefront of each lesson. Design begins to look in more detail at both costume and lighting for a given brief/scene. Pre-Learning will be introduced through homework research Tasks.
