1 year of Tutor Time Activities

1 year of Tutor Time Activities

A power point for each school week of the school year- that's 38 weeks! There is a thought of the week that prompts students to consider what the author means, and how they could implement it into their life/school life. This is followed by a "This week in history" slide. This aims to show students cross-curricular events from 9/11, to the creation of the X-ray, to royal weddings and World War II information. There is sometimes an additional slide based on events in the week e.g. Holocaust Memorial Day, The World Cup etc. It ticks every OFSTED box regarding SMSC/British Values but is also a useful tool to promote awareness about current issues with students. The week in history often provides my quiet group with conversation starters. We also show the thought of the week on the TV screens in our social areas. Please leave feedback if you purchase.

School Climate Control: A Five Hour Self Study Course

School Climate Control: A Five Hour Self Study Course

Many things that teachers are asked to do by local school boards or the state or federal government can be very abstract and at times confusing. Things like improving student character, or school climate are things that teachers are asked to do but dont get the support or the resources to achieve the goals of local, state, or federal governments; goals that they may have had nothing to do with setting. My goal with this course is to put the feet to some of the responsibilities that teachers have been charged with and to bring the abstract to the concrete. This is the full course and includes the video on school climate sold separately in my store.

Strengthening The Victims of Bullying: A 5 Hour Self Study Course

If the target of bullying can respond effectively, the ‘bully’ need not be confronted by the school. Various ways have been suggested on how the targeted child can stand up to the bully, from martial arts training to the use of so-called ‘fogging. This course covers a variety of strategies and techniques for a teacher, administrators, guidance counselor or caregiver to use in their efforts to help the victim of bullying develop greater resiliency and confidence.

Double-sided drawing/writing worksheet

Double-sided drawing/writing worksheet

Ticks every box a teacher could want. This resource allows the learner or teacher to create whatever design or written work they choose. Easily editable and totally user friendly. I am regularly told by my students this is the best thing they could use for their art or poster work. I'm also no expert but this resource can also make paper aeroplanes/origami an absolute cinch. Can be printed in a range of colours. Just insert correct colour paper in copier or if your budget needs spending, select background colour in the document and watch that toner go. Your go to resource for Ofsted or pesky drop-ins/observations. Probably comparable to the invention of the wheel.
