In order to support SEN and EAL students learning the formations I have created formation 5, where each formation is broken down into 5 steps. A KS3 lesson looking at the four main types of coastal erosion. Students create role plays in groups using the guidance sheets and then they watch each others role plays in order to match up the erosion types.

Lots of interesting activities relating to map symbols. One of the worksheets is particularly good for higher ability students as they have to use grid references also. Students love the mystery activity in my experience.

For the AQA A specification module tourism. This lessons looks at tourism in the Lake District (this needs a DVD) and then the ways in which the area manages tourism. i created this mini SOW on Afghanistan for my year 8's. The whole topic is based around research techniques where students use the school library extensively as well as the internet to produce a final project to explain why the the country can be described as being in &'turmoil&';.

I made this for my year 9 class who are GCSE for the AQA A specification. It is the first two lessons for starting to look at development. As the students start the GCSE in year 9, I have made the topic more based around exam practise.

A PowerPoint I deliver to my students just before the exam. It contains advice on answering types of questions and has all three of the revision PowerPoint's for the physical paper in (restless earth, water on the land and coastal zone) just encase they want to double check anything before going into the exam.
