I am a qualified teacher with specialisms in Spanish, Geography & Irish. I have worked as a teacher in Ireland, Australia and the UK. I teach children the way I want my son to be taught. I try to make colourful resources that will engage and make teachers and students lives easier. I don't always get it right but I'm always learning and striving to. Claddagh Classrooms

This resource contains all the necessary displays for your Irish classroom this Christmas. I use these as a game first to introduce the vocabulary to my students. They are placed around my room and students are given a list of Christmas vocabulary in English. They then have to find the Irish equivalent. It's nice to watch students discover the vocabulary themselves as opposed to looking at a PowerPoint and writing everything down in a vocabulary book. Once the lesson is finished they can go onto a display board. I've attached the .pdf for easy printing.

These are simple resources to introduce the topic of St. Valentines Day in Irish. This resource contains three activities: Heart Emojis: This s a nice simple task where students match the heart emoji to the feeling it represents. This is lovely for reinforcing the idea of ‘AR’ and also for revision of ‘móthúcháin’ Matching Cards: WIth this resource I have attached two files. One bank and one filled it. Sometimes my students like to wrote their own vocabulary down so they can write the phonetic pronounciation below. These are great for teaching the initial vocabulary, then asking the students to chop everything up and have a go at matching it themselves. There are so many games you can play with cards like these and they are a class favourite for my younger year groups for acquiring new vocabulary. Fill in the Blanks: I don’t think it needs explaining. Great for a plenary. Challenge the students by asking them to do it without their notes. PLEASE NOTE THESE ARE.PDF’s ONLY!!! Happy Valentine’s Day! Be sure to check out my other Valentine’s Day resources:)

This is a resource to help teach the topic of prepositional pronouns in Irish. It contains a list of the most common prepositional pronouns in Irish and also two sheets with the most common phrases associated to each one. It is a confusing topic for students but I found these revision sheets helped a lot:) As always I have attached .pdf for printing and .doc for editing.

Resource contains a PowerPoint lesson for revising the Present Tense in Spanish. It can also be adapted to be used as a lesson to introduce the same topic. It contains notes on formation of the tense, a worksheet that accompanies the lesson and also a selection of note sheets. The work sheets are in .doc format to edit and rework depending on your needs and also in .pdf. This ensures that when printing, all the worksheet is printed and none of the margins are missing.
