Persuasive Speech Introductions

(0)
I was in desperate need for some examples of persuasive speech introductions for my lower ability Yr 7 class, so I spent some time making my own. Used for an observation lesson and got excellent feedback due to the pace of the lesson and quick broken down tasks. Fantastic for my boy heavy class. You can edit the file to include your name in the introductions! Super engaging topic of why we should have more PE time in schools :)

Here’s a story setting plan I created for my Year 4’s. I wanted them to bring their story to life so asked them to draw it first and then brainstorm ideas around it :) Have attached differntiated sheets. The LA word bank is there to be adapted to use words that are more relevant to your story genre! Thanks for downloading!

An awesome maths activity for the first week back! Or just as a fun maths lesson. Can be differentiated for different groups, haven’t included the differentiated sheets but can send them to you if needed. You will need to adapt the second sheet for yourself and put a picture of yourself in the middle :) Enjoy!

Step into “The Regulation House”! Here, students explore their emotions, describing sensations in red and green brain states while learning strategies to transition between them. ----This reaource is available as a pdf and editable canva template---- In the red brain state, characterized by heightened emotions like frustration, anger, or anxiety, students are prompted to describe not only what they’re feeling but also the physical sensations accompanying these emotions. By acknowledging and articulating these sensations, students develop a deeper understanding of how their emotions manifest in their bodies, laying the groundwork for effective regulation strategies. After considering how they feel in a red brain state, the stairs provide them with an opportunity to reflect and discuss effective regulation strategies that can help them transition into a green brain state. The yellow section provides space for recognition that seeking support is a crucial aspect of emotional regulation. Students are encouraged to identify trusted individuals—be it teachers, peers, or family members—who can offer guidance and assistance in navigating their emotional journey. . “The Regulation House” equips students with the knowledge, skills, and support network they need to regulate their emotions effectively.
