Non-chronological report success criteria to display on whiteboard and smaller one which can be stuck in books for children to have a focus when writing or used as a marking aid. In red is what the non-chronological report must include. Used in Year 4 but could be adapted to suit other KS2 year groups.

For supporting SEN children in LSK2. One document with pictures prompting children to think about what information they would need to include in a non-chronological report about a country. One document containing sentences with missing words which children can fill in using the information they have found. Can be used to support SEN children in mixed ability pairs or as a group with support from an adult.

This bundle contains a six week block of whole class reading lessons for Year 3 on The Iron Man by Ted Hughes - I use this as my Spring term book. The pack consists of teacher planning, children’s booklet, assessment grids and smartboard presentations with the questions and answers for the modeling lesson (lesson 2 of each week). There are 3 lessons per week: the first lesson looks at independent reading time followed by taking turns reading to ensure children understand the passage and any vocabulary they come across the second lesson looks at children getting used to finding the answer within the text. Small, colour co-ordinated checklist which can be used alongside a good example of a non-chronological report in which children can identify the features by underlining using the appropriate colours. Used in Year 4 but could be adapted to also suit other KS2 year groups.
