LGBT History Month Assembly - The film Pride / LGSM

(0)
This is an engaging, original, and editable assembly for LGBT History Month in the UK for 11-18 year olds. The PPT also includes notes for most slides with a detailed commentary on the film Pride and the true story of LGSM (Lesbians and Gays Support the Miners) behind the film. This assembly includes: What is LGBT History Month Why is LGBT History Month important for everyone to learn about The story behind the film Pride - about LGSM and the miners strikes. I really hope this helps students and teaching staff alike to understand the importance of LGBT history month.

LGBTQ+ trip - MANCHESTER FOR ALL - Trip activity booklet

(0)
Be ahead of the game and run a LGBTQ+ focused trip for secondary school aged students. Tried and tested with students from year 7 - year 11 with feedback including “the best day of school so far”. The trip includes: A walking tour on Manchester city centre’s LGBT+ history A visit to The Gay Pride Bookshop in Affleck’s Palace A cafe stop at the Feel Good Club. The files for the trip include: The activity booklet PDF containing points of reflection for students and questions on history to be answered on the walking tour. An instructions file with postcodes and reccomendations during the organising stages. I hope you enjoy this trip. It was one of the best days of my career and I know the students will remember it.
