I used this with a year 10 class and they loved it. Students will learn how to: Duplicate layers Rotate layers Flip layers Merge layers Alter hue and saturation ... in order to produce stunning repeat patterns, later used for surface design project.

This lesson tied in with our GCSE cultural mask scheme of work. Students photographed a mask, then imposed it onto a person of their choice. Students learn about layers and various tools within photoshop. (Also great for teachers who need to improve their own understanding!)

1 Hour that covers quick sketches and longer sustained drawings. All tasks can be diffrentiated easily. Longer tasks focus on tone, scale and line. Students improve skills and gain a deeper understanding of the formal elements.
