A well planned and fully resourced unit of work on Ancient Greek Myths. My class (which was made up of a lots of reluctant readers) absolutely loved this unit! Hooked was an understatement!
This unit of work is ideal for a 4 week unit on fantasy writing. It includes all planning, resources and slides. **Total of 18 lessons.

This unit covers the following:
1 - exploring main features and characters
a - explore greek myths and identify features
b - drama - using empathy to freeze frame
character emotions
c - describe mythical beast
d - SPAG - apostrophes

a - create and describe a character
b - action writing - using multi-clause sentences
c - showing emotions, not telling (his eyes widened vs he was scared)

c - suspense writing -hero finds creature’s lair
d - SPAG - paragraphs to show change in time and place
e - discuss & generate ideas for independent writing

The PPT explains both the short and long term effects of prolonged alcohol consumption. It also covers why adults may choose to drink.

Another great resource to help introduce children to the concept of division.
Once the children have grasped the concept of “sharing” in division (see my other resources), this resource deepens their understanding by viewing division by “grouping” amounts.
I found this method of grouping provides children with a greater understanding of division before moving onto short division.

A great resource to help introduce children to the concept of division. With this resource, children will practise dividing numbers by sharing the amount equally by using a simple tally system.
This method really helped my Y4’s to begin to understand how division works.
