I have used colour consistently for the different types of sections to make the booklet more dyslexia friendly as I have found that chemistry notes and questions can often be very dense, and somewhat inaccessible for students who have dyslexia. The workbook can also be produced as a revision guide for the topic and contains all the notes and practice past paper questions you would need to revise along with worked examples. Parent and student friendly. This booklet is 20 pages long with answers to past paper questions provided at the back from page 16 onwards. It is provided in word and pdf. This is a lesson to teach strong and weak acids with an introduction to the meaning of pH. It has a ppt and worksheet in word and pdf format with answers to the worksheet as well. The meaning of strong acid in terms of complete ionisation of acid molecules in water The meaning of weak acid in terms of partial ionisation of acid molecules in water Comparison of the terms concentrated and dilute with strong and weak and an explanation of how a weak acid can still be concentrated and a strong acid could still be dilute. Grid to test understanding of key vocabulary in the ppt file. Meaning of pH in terms of the change in 10x each time you go down a pH unit - does not include logarithms it is described in an accessible way that allows students to calculate changes in concentration as pH unit changes.
