Kindness Cards - Pass it on!

(0)
A set of small cards which each have a small act of kindness outlined on. The idea is to spread them amongst the children and they should try and complete the task before passing on the card for someone else to pay it forward. Works great as a compliment to World Kindness Day but is also equally good for a health/PHSE lesson or even a standalone activity. *The document is fully editable so you can change the tasks. It is designed to be printed on both sides (short edge) so the back of the card includes the logo. * Why not add a little more kindness to the world!?

Country Fact File Worksheet - Scotland

(0)
This fact finding worksheet is made up of 12 statements about the human and physical geography of Scotland. Each statement has 1-3 blanks that the children have to fill in through either prior knowledge or researching on the internet or in books. The final part of the worksheet is a word search which contains many of the answers and other words too. It even has a hidden message that is only revealed when the children have found a certain number of words. The worksheet serves as a nice introduction to various facts about Scotland and requires the children to think about what search terms to use to find the information they need effectively. I usually have the children work in pairs for this as they can bounce ideas off each other, discuss and divide the questions up between them. You could even provide a certain statement to each student and then have them share their findings at the end for others to record.

A Re-write of Pie Corbetts Storm Unicorn - The Time Unicorn

(0)
We study the Storm Unicorn by Pie Corbett during literacy. Leading up to this we look at other examples before the children write their own (non-chronological) report with the aid of the text. This is a re-write of the Storm Unicorn called the Time Unicorn. Sub-titles have been added in as we encourage the use of them for better organisation. There is also another report by Pie Corbett called the Frost Unicorn which we use in addition to this as another example report text. I also have another re-write in my store called the Candy Unicorn. The document is fully editable so you can change parts as you please.

The Solar System - A3 Cut and Stick Activity

(0)
This worksheet contains pictures of all 8 planets in our solar system with their names. The idea is for the children to cut them up and stick them in the correct position in order from the sun. Simple, fun and effective way for children to remember their order. As an additional task they could make up their own mnemonic to help them more easily remember their order. I hope you like this resource! Please leave a review if you have a moment. Thank you.

The Solar System Fact File Worksheet

This worksheet is made up of 2 parts. The first involves filling in the missing information for the table about the 8 planets in our solar system. Children will need to research and find the information using books and/or the internet. Please see the preview for further information about the groups of information required. The second part is a true or false activity with statements that directly relate to the information in the table. This is quite an extensive activity and children will need plenty of time to collate their research and fill it in correctly. It works well as a small group activity (2-3 children). All the answers are included on the second page. I hope you enjoy this resource! If you have a moment, please leave a review. Thank you.

Flat Stanley Questions - The Great Egyptian Grave Robbery

(0)
This worksheet is made up of 10 comprehension questions and a bonus, covering a wide range of reading skills. It is for the book, Flat Stanley - The Great Egyptian Grave Robbery. Each question is based on a different chapter. The chapter numbers are given in brackets afterwards to make it slightly easier. Children will have had to have read the book, but ideally have s to it to be able to refer to and answer the questions as best they can. This is quite a tricky comprehension for my Year 3 level, so it would be more suitable for Year 4-6. The worksheet is also designed to be easily used as a Google Doc so children can type their answers online. Last time I used it in Google Classroom where each child gets their own copy of the document to work on.

Telling the Time - AM or PM? [Designed for Online]

This worksheet is designed to be used as a Google Doc so children can complete it online, however, it could also be printed and used that way instead. It’s made up of an example and 10 different scenarios, for which the children have to say what time of day it is and whether the time is am or pm. Before the questions are several pointers which will help with answering the questions. It’s great for use in Google Classroom where every child gets their own copy. You can then easily check their individual progress live and then check their results.
