A Christmas Carol writing task: Cut sequence and write to retell the story

(0)
Based on the story ‘A Christmas Carol’. This product includes 8 Hand drawn pictures with space for writing for the children to cut out, sequence, write about and colour in. Word bank and captions page for children who are sequencing the story and matching the description to the pictures rather than writing 8 pictures to cut out Blank story map page to paste the pictures in sequence To differentiate: -Support could use the pictures and story map page -Core children could cut out and sequence the pictures and match with the captions -More able children can sequence and write independently with given challenges such as ‘Include at least 3 time adverbials’ Sequencing activities usually take a few sessions. Cut, order and stick the activities. Writing captions for the first half of the images Writing for the second half of the activities I usually ask the children to colour after they have met the objectives for that session and finish colouring in at the end. Black and white. No colour ink needed! *Please note that I have arranged the pictures in order already. This is mainly to help teachers. I usually ask the children to cut them out and then give them a little shuffle before they start sequencing to challenge themselves!

Numicon Multiplication: 8 times tables and repeated addition challenge cards

(0)
Numicon themed cards to help children to visualise multiplication and solve simple multiplication calculations. This set is for the 8 times tables (multiplying by 1 through to 12). Teachers should print the cards and cut them out so they are muddled up. Each card has a times table calculation, the Numicon pictorial representation, missing repeated addition number sentence and empty answer box. I usually cut out all the cards and put them on the table so that the children can pick their own calculations to solve and stick in their work books. Please check my shop for the other times tables and also the complete 1 - 10 times tables bundle!
