It can be used with students in Years 9, 10 or 11, depending on their level. If used with Year 11 students, Foundation classes would benefit more as it may be too easy for Higher groups (although good revision for them). There are six questions and it focuses on the use of adjectives when giving opinions or describing.

As part of Theme 1 (La evolución de la sociedad española) in the Edexcel scheme of work, I created this two-hour lesson to discuss the role of grandparents. Plenty of authentic materials: a reading, a listening (created from a podcast seen in RTVE) and a translation (from El País).

This worksheet includes: 10 short paragraphs about why learning another language is important 5 follow-up exercises with instructions in Spanish to test students’ reading skills and one exercise to allow students to write their own opinion about why learning a language is important, using the vocabulary seen.

Quick and easy worksheet for KS4 students to write about their ideal neighbourhood.

This document was created for my Year 10 and Year 11 students to practise further their vocabulary on the topic of school. It gave them more confidence in their writing skills. It can be followed up with some English to Spanish translations and a free writing activity in class.
