Pupils have to summarise their learning in 140 characters like in twitter. They can include hashtag for key words. The resource can be printed and laminated so pupils can write with board pen. I put highlights of these on twitter #tweetplenary

In this ICT lab based lesson pupils search for information about metals and non-metals of their choice. Website links are provided. They then use the information to produce a summary table about the differences.

This is a worksheet to be completed by pupils when they are searching the internet during the 8.2 topic. They have to search using different search engines and complete information for any relevant website they click on (includes bias, reliability, fact or opinion). This sheet should show progression as they improve during the unit.

This is a simple worksheet that I gave to my Year 7s to help them to plan a PowerPoint. They have to complete with the audience, purpose and write what content to include on each slide. I used this in the first lesson of my rugby world cup unit where pupils will adopt an unfamiliar country and team and produce a powerpoint to inform the rest of the class about the country.

This is a plan of approximately 20 lessons to serve as an introduction to the lab and how to write Scientific reports for year 7, it incorporates 7G. I chose the theme of water, and have included practicals, demonstrations, videos, homeworks and APP links. Here is a challenge homework sheet I prepared for my Year 6 class for the inheritance and evolution topic. They choose one idea and make a poster or leaflet to show their understanding of the topic. This could be used as a challenge/extension for higher ability pupils.

This is an activity where pupils cut out sugars, phosphates and bases and stick them together to make the structure of DNA and RNA. It can be used to illustrate nucleotide structure as well at the DNA/RNA Molecule.

This is a resource that I made for my GCSE pupils to allow me to grade their lab reports on a 1 to 9 scale. It shows features of all parts of a lab report from 1 to 9 (aim, prediction, variables, diagram, method, results table and analysis, conclusion, evaluation. This scale is not specific to any exam board; I made it roughly based on old coursework and APP criteria. This should make marking quicker as it literally includes one sentence per grade.
