Focuses on getting students familiar with the scale. I did this the lesson after neutralisation, it lets the kids get involved in competition and instils the pH scale into their heads.

GCSE Year 10 Strong and Weak Acids Incorporates practical, practice question, model answer and activity worksheet. Really enjoyed teaching this lesson.

I used this with Year 8 and Year 10 (who needed a reminder of the group 1 metals/ just wanted to see the flame again). In both cases it worked really well, with lower set year 8 i skipped the equations, with year 10 they did word and balanced symbol equations. Both year groups found the sheet really useful :)
