GCSE Mini Tests

Effective resource to revise and prepare for GCSE maths exam. Number and Algebra topics in three versions each: TN1.1 -> Test Number 1, version 1 TN1.2 -> Test Number 1, version 2 and so on. The questions can be practised in any format you wish; I use them by practising ten topics per week for three weeks to give each student a chance to master all of them. Students getting all questions right away will move on to the next set. Questions are short, extra working out can be presented on the back.

Research-based App That All Teachers Should Know | Hands Down Approach | #GoForItApp

The app projects the flashcards with the vocabulary words, test questions or other items. The key feature of this app is that it combines the questions with a random student name generator. You can create your own flashcards or download pre-made ones. The app doesn’t require installation and it’s very easy to use. Key Features: ▸ Desktop Flashcard App which helps to increase Student Participation ▸ Random Student Name Generator ▸ Memorising Student Names and Faces ▸ Timer The purpose of using #GoForItApp is to provide active participation for all students as well as to allow the teacher to see how many students were correct and confident. On the other hand, students feel that the randomised name generator is a much fairer process than the classic “hand raising”. What do you need to get started: ▸ Access to a computer and the Internet ▸ PDF registers from SIMS (an example of a class register is included, so you will be able to test the app straight away). ▸ PDFs containing images (.jpg or .png) ▸ Mini-whiteboards Do you have any questions for me? I made this worksheet to review a working knowledge of order of operations/ BODMAS. It is one of my favorites! It consists of 20 questions at different levels of difficulty. This is a great resource for students in KS3. Colouring is required and you will need a selection of 4 colours including black. The activity should take around 15-20 minutes to complete. . . 👉 Want a deeper dive? Check my Instagram account: @theeducatorslist Or the list of topics

I love search and shades worksheets. The students are able to self-check by looking for the answer in the grid. Then, they shade the areas to create a design. I use this one to practise the order of operations. It consists of 20 questions at different levels of difficulty. Besides BODMAS, your students will have to know some basic facts about adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing with negative integers and fractions. This is a great resource for students in KS3. Colouring is required and you will need a selection of 2 colours including black. . . 👉 Want a deeper dive? Types of Equations Worksheet / GCSE Level

Types of Equations Worksheet / GCSE Level

This fun worksheet is based on a flow chart of different types of equations. It’s a great resource to revise strategies used to solve equations, starting from fractional equations, equations with brackets, equations with the unknown on the both sides and finishing with a classic two-step equation. The resource should be printed double sided and folded inside along four dotted lines (see instructions how to fold the resource). When closed, the types of four equations are visible. To see the steps how to solve one of them, you can simply unfold one of the four corners. The arrows inside indicate the direction to follow the next step. ⓘ If you prefer your students to fill in the steps, print the second version. ✔ Don’t miss out: the worksheet unable to revise useful vocabulary in algebra too!
