A complete lesson focusing on how to successfully answer Q2a on Paper one of EDUQAS GCSE MEDIA. This lesson mainly focuses on Quality Street and explores relevant historical context, but also includes an example answer (from a student) based on This Girl Can. The lesson can be easily adapted to focus on any of the set products for Paper 1 Section A.

'The Jinx the life and deaths of Robert Durst’ Approximatly 6/7 detailed and comprehensive lessons on the context and genre conventions of The Jinx for A Level Eduqas Media Studies component 2 section A. All elements of the theoretical framework are covered and homework tasks are planned for here. This scheme also makes use of the feature film All Good Things which is based on the real-life events documented in The Jinx.

A lesson which is aimed at mid/lower ability GCSE English students exploring how to vary sentence structures in descriptive writing and writing based on an image.

A full scheme of work of approx. 5 lessons on Component 1 Section B for Eduqas GCSE Media. These lessons cover all areas of the framework and exam questions which are NOT SAMS - one is from an Eduqas sample paper and the other is of my own design (the SAMS mark scheme can be used for this one) there is also a lesson which explores how to approach the ‘stepped’ questions in section B and gives advice on timing and command words. A two hour lesson which introduces and explores Judith Butler’s gender performance theory. This is a set theory for Eduqas A Level media but relevant to all study of media representations. The lessons focuses on The Jinx but these could be replaced with any relevant media product.
