This is a couple of things for the 'White Tiger' extract from AQA: structure term match, exemplar paragraph and task. Not a complete lesson. Aimed at grade 4 students.

This lesson uses the '39 Steps' extract from the AQA website.
A GCSE AQA Paper 2 lesson focusing on the article by Tim Dowling provided on the AQA website; the lesson focuses on structure in the article. Step by step the lesson: leads the students to locate and analyse structure; read and mark a model paragraph; write their own paragraph. There is an extra paragraph, on the end analysing the effect of the semantic field of war- could be used as homework or in lesson.
Lesson gets students to quickly understand the message of 'London' and 'Composed Upon Westminster Bridge'. Students are then given a point of comparison (title, theme, language) with quotations and prompt cards to allow them to compare. Model paragraph on powerpoint and students write a comparison paragraph as their exit pass. Lesson plan on first slide.
Lesson on 'Paddy Clarke' for AQA Paper 1 question 1 and 2. Lesson gets: students to link their own experiences with the boys; students to draw on their knowledge of language terms; models analysis of a quotation; gives an exemplar paragraph with mark scheme.
This lesson uses the 'Touching the Void' and 'Climbing Everest' extracts available on the AQA website and focuses on question 2/ comparison.
