Hi, over the past 10 years I have taught nursery to year 6 and have SMT experience. I completed a degree in English literature before completing a Primary Education P.G.C.E which qualifies me to teach from ages 3-11.I aim to share skills rich, adaptable and reasonably priced resources (Following TES suggestions)all have been personally used.All teachers know how wonderful but busy our career can be; any time saving resources are worth their weight in gold! 😊

PowerPoint lesson introduction to writing "Mini Myths." Children will write short mythical stories where the aim is to write within a specified word count. I teach in Wales so my lesson was centred around Welsh myths (Curriculum Cymreig!) but the resources can be easily adapted to myths from any period/culture. This was an observed lesson and it received very positive feedback

6 week unit of work based on "Fantastic Mr Fox" by Roald Dahl. Engaging lessons which cover all three literacy strands. Differentiated activities subject specific skills included but LNF would need to be added. All sessions are based around Scholastic "Read and Respond" text based on the novel.

A newspaper features scavenger hunt sheet. Children can work individually or in pairs to find, select and record the features on a newspaper. Can be easily differentiated by asking "HA" pupils to record responses found in the text and asking "LA" pupils to cut and stick features.
