All I Ask of You - Phantom of the Opera - Y7/8 Analysis

(0)
This is a two-sided worksheet on All I Ask of You from Phantom aimed at Years 7-8. The first page includes a simple multiple-choice listening quiz (e.g. what voice type); the second page involves basic analysis of the first two pages of the sheet music, some labeling of the score (e.g. treble clef, bar line), a simple ‘treasure hunt’, copying out the treble clef 5 times and an extension task asking students to copy the first line of the vocal part in full. The resource includes a worksheet (Word), presentation (PowerPoint) and score (PDF). The listening is based on the first Youtube link to the song.

Eduqas Music GCSE (from 2016) Planet of the Apes Listening Task for AoS3

This 4-page quiz about The Hunt from the original Planet of the Apes can be used as a teaching method or assessment. It has been created with Eduqas AoS 3 objectives in mind, covering important questions such as the composer's use of the stimulus, as well as a wide range of vocabulary covering all elements of music. This quiz was designed in conjunction with the Edexcel Anthology of Music first published in 2000 (the A-level score) and asks questions about specific bar numbers, but most questions can be answered without the score by simply listening to the hyperlinked excerpts and a bit of extra preparation. I have not included a copy of the score for copyright reasons. Either way, you will not regret buying this!

This is a listening quiz with four songs totaling 30 marks. There is a range of questions of varying difficulty, including one aural dictation question. This quiz is ideal for GCSE students, but could be used for KS3 if you had studied Bhangra a little. Most questions focus on generic elements of music questions.

GCSE Music PLC Quiz (Eduqas)

(0)
This is a comprehensive quiz to go with the listening and appraising section of my PLC. The quiz systematically goes through each element of music, with an A section on theory/vocab and a B section on listening. When totaled up, each element is marked out of 12. This mark can then be used to fill in the PLC accurately and objectively using the following system: 0-4 = red, 5-8 = amber, 9-12 = green. The price of this resource reflects the time that went into making it. Although my PLC was made with Eduqas in mind, the quiz is generic. I hope you find it useful and please rate/review. Thank you.
