About Thetford Grammar School
Thetford Grammar School is an independent co-educational day school in Thetford, Norfolk, with some 300 pupils aged from 3-19 coming from feeder schools across Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire.
Celebrating its 900th anniversary in 2014, the school is one of the oldest in England. It was a state grammar school until it became independent in 1981. The school occupies two sites in the centre of the town. Some buildings date back to Tudor times, others are brand new,and despite being a relatively small school, it offers a wide range of facilities.

While taking pride in its 900 years of educating local children, Thetford Grammar School dedicates itself to preparing pupils for the fast moving, ever changing world they will enter on leaving. Its chief aim is to develop the whole child within an inclusive school community. The core value is to ensure the creative growth of every individual in all areas: academic, physical, emotional, cultural and social.
There are over 20 AS- and A-level subjects on offer in the schools sixth form.
